ECH 1101: General Chemistry  1 unit (16 weeks, 6 hours per week)
The aim of the course is to provide a balanced foundation for further study of the major branches of Chemistry. 
Prerequisites: M.S.C.E. Physical Science, Mathematics or equivalent   
Co-Requisite: EMT 1102
ECH 1101: Chemistry I   Full course (14 weeks, 3 hours per week)
The aim of the course is to introduce students to basic principles of chemistry and their application in science.
ECH 1201: General Chemistry   1 unit (16 weeks, 6 hours per week)
The aim of the course is to provide a balanced foundation for further study of the major branches of Chemistry.
Prerequisites: MSCE Physical Science, Mathematics or equivalent
Co-requisite:  Mathematics, EMT 1202
ECH 1202: Chemistry II  Full course (14 weeks, 3 hours per week)
The aim of the course is to introduce students to fundamentals of chemistry

ECH 2301: General Chemistry II      1 unit (16 weeks, 6 hours per week)
The aim of the course is to provide a balanced foundation for further study of the major branches of Chemistry.
Prerequisite: General Chemistry
Co-requisite: Mathematics, EMT 2301
ECH 2401: General Chemistry II    1 unit (16 weeks, 6 hours per week)
The aim of the course is to provide a balanced foundation for further study of the major branches of Chemistry.

ECH 3501: Physical Chemistry      1 unit (16 weeks, 6 hours per week)
The aim of the course is to provide fundamental Chemistry concepts in Physical Chemistry.
Prerequisite: General Chemistry I and II, Mathematics (Year two)

ECH 3502: Organic Chemistry            1 unit (16 weeks, 6 hours per week)

The aim of the course is to provide fundamental concepts in Organic Chemistry.
Prerequisite: General Chemistry I and II
ECH 3503:  Inorganic Chemistry            1 unit (16 weeks, 6 hours per week)
The aim of the course is to study the principles and applications of Inorganic Chemistry.
ECH 3601: Physical Chemistry      1 unit (16 weeks, 6 hours per week)
The aim of the course is to further introduce students to fundamental Chemistry concepts in Physical Chemistry.
Prerequisites: General Chemistry I and II Physical Chemistry ECH 3501 & Mathematics (2)
ECH 3602: Organic Chemistry  1 unit (16 weeks, 6hours per week)
The aim of the course is to enable students develop and understand principles and applications of Organic Chemistry and its impact on society.
Prerequisites            General Chemistry I and II ECH 3502
ECH 3604: Applied Chemistry  1 unit (16 weeks, 6 hours per week)
The aim of the course is to enable students develop and understand principles and applications of Environmental and Industrial Chemistry.
Prerequisites: General Chemistry I and II
ECH 3605: Analytical Chemistry  1 unit (16 weeks, 6 hours per week)
The aim of the course is to enable students develop and understand principles and applications of Analytical Chemistry.
Prerequisites: General chemistry I and II, Chemistry ECH 3501, ECH 3502 and ECH 3503.
EMC 3501: Chemistry Methods (16 weeks, 1 hour per week)
This is ¼ unit course which combines with other methodology courses to make a unit.  Its aim is to introduce students to knowledge and skills of chemistry teaching.
EMC 3601: Chemistry Methods (16 weeks, 1 hour per week)
This is a  ¼ unit course which combines with other methodology courses to make a unit.  Its aim is to introduce students to chemistry teaching.  This course focuses on developing preparation and teaching skills in students through lesson observation and microteaching.
Level 4
ECH 4701:  Chemistry   1 unit (16 weeks, 4 hours per week)
The aim of the course is to introduce students to basic principles of Chemistry and their applications to Health Sciences
Prerequisite: M.S.C.E Physical Science & Mathematics
ECH 4802:  Further Organic Chemistry   1 unit (16 weeks, 6 hours per week)
The aim of the course is to enable students develop an understanding of principles and applications of Organic Chemistry and its impact on society
Prerequisites: General Chemistry I and II Organic Chemistry ECH 3502, ECH 3602.
ECH 4803:  Further Inorganic Chemistry 1 unit (16 weeks, 6 hours per week)
The aim of the course is to study further principles and applications of Inorganic Chemistry.
Prerequisites: General Chemistry I and II Inorganic chemistry ECH 3503
ECH 4805:  Research Project  and Instrumentation 1 unit (16 weeks, 6 hours per week)
The aim of the course is to enable students gain practical experience in planning, implementing, evaluating and presenting research work.
Prerequisites:  General Chemistry I and II,  Level III Chemistry course.
EMC 4701:  Chemistry Methods (12 weeks)
This course constitutes teaching practice during which students are placed in various schools.  It lasts from the start of the school term to the end of it.  The aim of teaching practice is to give students opportunity to apply knowledge and skills of teaching they have acquired from various courses to real classroom situation.  Through this activity students are also given an insight into the school’s formal organizational structure.  During teaching practice students participate in a variety of other activities that go on in a school environment.
EMC 4801:  Chemistry Methods (16 weeks, 1 hour per week)
This is a ¼ unit course which combines with other methodology courses to make a unit.  The aim of this course is to allow students to reflect on teaching practice.  Students are also exposed to other aspects that have a bearing on the teaching profession.
