Brief Biography

Dr Thokozani Bvumbwe is a Senior Lecturer in the Nursing and Midwifery Department. Currently serving as Dean of Faculty of Health Sciences until July 2019. He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Kamuzu College of Nursing in 2000. He then pursued a Master of Science in Community Health Nursing (2003) and a Diploma in Mental Health/ Psychiatric Nursing (2002) from the University of KwaZulu Natal, Durban, South Africa. He is a beneficiary of the ICAP – NEPI scholarship and obtained a Doctor of Philosophy at University of KwaZulu Natal in 2017. He has worked for St. John of God Community Services and Management Sciences for Health/ BASICS before joining Mzuzu University in 2009.

Thokozani teaches Community Health Nursing, Health Services Management, Mental Health/ Psychiatric Nursing and Research methods.
