Mzuzu University's Christopher Ngalu has been named to Adobe’s global class of“Top Talent” in the 2019 Adobe Design Achievement Awards for his Graphic Design entry, “Packaged Portfolio.”
Christopher Ngalu is a Graphic Designer with the Centre of Open, Distance and eLearning (CODeL) and is pursuing further studies in South Africa at Greenside Design Center, College of Design.
According to Lisa M. Temple the Community Innovator and Program Manager for Adobe Design Achievement ward,
the 2019 Adobe Awards competition received a record 10,379 entries from emerging creators and art and
design students on nearly 500 university campuses in 102 countries worldwide. Only 5% of these
submissions were awarded the designation of Top Talent, making Christopher’s accomplishment truly
remarkable on a global scale.
As a celebration of this achievement and to shine a spotlight on the perspective of the next generation of
global creative professionals, Christopher and a select group of his peers have been invited to represent the
Top Talent at Adobe MAX: The Creativity Conference in Los Angeles, California, November 2 - 6, 2019.
The MAX
is a gathering of digital creative professionals of the highest order, at which several additional networking
and social engagements are planned for Christopher and his fellow Top Talent members as student VIPs.
The round-trip travel to Los Angeles and accommodations have been provided by Adobe. He will
arrive in Los Angeles on Saturday November 2, staying at the Freehand Los Angeles hotel, 416 W 8th Street.
He will depart Los Angeles on Wednesday November 6. Adobe has arranged his return flight to
Johannesburg on the 6th.
