Lecturer

Rhodrick Andrew Padoni

Mr. Rhodrick Padoni is an information science expert and lecturer in the Department of Information Sciences at Mzuzu University, having joined the Department on 1 February 2021. Currently, he has been the Coordinator of Weekend Programmes in the Department since September 1, 2022. He holds Master of Library and Information Science (Distinction) from Mzuzu University (2023), Bachelor of Library and Information Science (First Class) from Mzuzu University (2016), and a Diploma in Business and Industrial Administration from the Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences Institute of Continuing Education (formerly Continuing Education Centre) (2004). He teaches courses including Records Management, Archives Management, Management of Electronic Resources, Electronic Records and Information Management, Information Storage and Retrieval, Organisation of Knowledge II: Classification, and Project Management. Mr. Padoni, a former Inspector of Police, also worked as a Librarian and Class Trainer for Malawi Police College in Zomba from March 2018 to January 2021. He also worked as an investigator in the Malawi Police Service from 2005 to 2018.
