ACENUB
African Centre for Neglected and Underutilized Biodiversity
Advancing Agri-Food Systems through Biodiversity and Innovation
The future of agriculture and food security depends on innovation, collaboration, and specialised expertise. Yet, many African countries struggle with limited faculty, resources, and research capacity to fully develop their potential in agricultural science and biodiversity.
Established at Mzuzu University (MZUNI) under the Eastern and Southern Africa Centres of Excellence (ACE II) Project, ACENUB is bridging skill gaps by providing a regional platform for high-level research and postgraduate training in neglected and underutilised biodiversity. Through cutting-edge research, academic excellence, and industry partnerships, ACENUB is shaping the future of agri-food systems, agribusiness, risk management, and climate-resilient agriculture.
