Department of

Exploring Life, Transforming the Future

From the tiniest microorganisms to the most complex ecosystems, the study of life is an ever-evolving journey of discovery. At the Department of Biological Sciences, we push the boundaries of knowledge, tackling some of the world’s most pressing biological challenges—disease control, biodiversity conservation, and sustainability.

Our department has grown from a specialized section within the Faculty of Education to a dynamic hub of scientific research and innovation within the Faculty of Science, Technology, and Innovation. Whether you are fascinated by the intricate relationships between species or passionate about combating emerging health threats, this is where curiosity meets impact.

Programmes

Our programmes are designed for bold thinkers and problem solvers. Through hands-on fieldwork, laboratory research, and industry collaborations, we prepare students for careers that matter.

Research, Outreach and Publications

Our department and research teams actively publish in peer-reviewed journals, contributing valuable insights to the fields of ICT, Cybersecurity and Data Science. These publications reflect our commitment to academic excellence and our drive to address pressing global challenges.
