Japhet Khendlo
Japhet Khendlo holds a Master’s Degree in Geoinformatics from Mzuzu University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Land Surveying from the University of Malawi, the Malawi Polytechnic. He is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Mascareignes, Mauritius, focusing on the application of Geospatial analysis in climate change and environmental modelling. His Master’s thesis examined the "Nexus of Road Geometrics and Human Factors on Traffic Accidents on the Mzuzu-Jenda M1 Road Stretch," while his BSc thesis was on "A GIS and Multi-Criteria Analysis-Based Approach for Evaluating the Suitability of Sewage Treatment Sites in Blantyre City, Malawi." Khendlo's expertise in GIS and remote sensing encompasses a wide array of competencies. He has extensive experience in geospatial data collection, analysis, application of Geo-AI, and geo-visualization. His work has involved the production of both static and dynamic spatial models, providing essential insights for various applications. Additionally, he has been involved in the creation and management of geospatial databases, ensuring the accuracy and accessibility of spatial data for research and practical use.
