Established in 2007, the Department of Biomedical Sciences was created in response to the critical shortage of skilled professionals in health diagnostics. As one of the three key departments in the Faculty of Health Sciences, we are dedicated to training experts who will transform medical laboratory sciences, diagnostics, and biomedical research in Malawi and beyond.

Our faculty members are actively engaged in teaching, research, and community outreach, ensuring that students receive hands-on experience in clinical diagnostics, disease research, and healthcare innovations.
