Joseph Kumwenda

Joseph Kumwenda is a dedicated cybersecurity researcher and IT professional currently serving as a Lecturer in the Department of Information and Communication Technology at Mzuzu University, Malawi, where he teaches courses in cybersecurity, networking, and programming. He holds a Master of Science in Cybersecurity from the National Forensic Sciences University, India (2022–2024), with research focused on auditing hybrid security architectures and advanced security frameworks, and a Bachelor of Science in Information and Communication Technology from Mzuzu University (2014–2019). His professional journey includes a research internship at the Cyber Defence Centre in India, where he contributed significantly to cybersecurity research. Mr. Kumwenda has led innovative academic projects like ISO/IEC 27001 compliance simulations, Active Directory monitoring labs, and real-time threat detection systems, and he actively participates in professional communities such as (ISC)² and the Internet Society.
