REPORTING DATE FOR NEW STUDENTS

Mzuzu University (MZUNI) is reminding its new students, their parents, guardians, sponsors and the general public that the opening date for the 2024 Academic Year is Monday 29^th January, 2024.

All undergraduate generic, upgrading, economic fee-paying students under face-to-face, Open, Distance and eLearning (ODeL), weekend release modes of learning including postgraduate students selected into various programmes for the 2023/24 Academic Year are required to report at the MZUNI Main Campus, Luwinga in Mzuzu on Monday, 29^th January 2024 for orientation and registration. Classes will begin on Monday, 5^th February 2024 after the week-long orientation. 

Students, parents, guardians and sponsors are also advised that MZUNI ONLY collects fees including rentals for accommodation through its designated bank accounts. Stakeholders should therefore NOT entertain anyone asking for payment of fees or any financial obligations through Airtel Money, Mpamba or other mobile money wallets as this is the work of fraudsters.

Students, parents, guardians and sponsors are reminded that MZUNI has a no-fee-no-registration policy. Students are required to pay at least 50% of the annual fees within the first two weeks of opening for them to be registered. With MZUNI’s new student management information system launched this academic year, students who will not strictly meet the requirement will be withdrawn on financial grounds at the expiration of the two-week registration period. Their place will be reserved for one year to allow them get organised financially and report in the 2024/25 Academic Year.
