Teaching / Learning Resources
The department of Geosciences emphasizes the integration of human and physical aspects of geosciences and includes the use of geospatial technologies. The department has dedicated classrooms, a geoscientific laboratory, Geographic Information System(GIS) laboratory and a small departmental library with a sizeable collection of books and maps, a beamer for Power Point lecture presentations, and slide projector as teaching equipment in the form of hardware. Computers in the GIS laboratory are used by students and staff to draw digital maps. A laboratory for geoscientific research and lecture-
rooms are available as supporting facilities to the academic programmes.
